Big Changes (and a chance to win)

When I started my photography business a few years ago, I wanted to help people capture beautiful memories of their family.  And I love doing that.  I love that my clients have my photos blown up big over their mantle or send them to relatives over the holiday season.  But life is more than a Christmas card photo.  Real life is messy.  It is spilt bowls of cereal, tantrums at the grocery store, and splashes flying out of the bathtub.  When I look back at my own family photos, the ones I cherish the most aren’t the ones where I dressed the kids in coordinated (but not match-matchy) clothes, drug them to a beautiful location, barked orders, made everyone stand still and smile, until somebody finally broke down and cried.  (Sound familiar?)  The pictures I love show my kids…well…being my kids and showing their own unique personality.

To share this type documentary photography with my clients, I will be offering a new type of session.  These “Day In The Life” sessions will capture your own family doing their own thing.  These sessions will be held in your own home and will capture the reality of family life.  Totally unscripted.

Want to capture the way your toddler stands on a step stool to steal cookies?  Need a reminder of the way your daughter sucks her finger instead of her thumb?  Want to document the special relationship between your son and his dog?  Then these sessions are for you.  You’ll get a four-hour photo shoot to do whatever it is that your family does.  I’ll tag along and document the whole thing.  You’ll get all the photos from the day via digital download.

To help me celebrate this big change, I’m offering one free Day In The Life session to a lucky family.  Visit my Facebook page for details on how to enter.  I can’t wait to spend time with your family, being real.
